23 Oct The Perfect Ice Cream Scoop…
This is a review of an ice cream scoop. No, this is not a joke.
I just got done eating half a pint of Pancakes and Waffles Halo Top. Taking it easy tonight, clearly. 😅
I had a total “aha” moment in the kitchen; I went on a search a couple months ago for the best ice cream scoop, with the intention of sharing it with everyone, and I never shared my findings! Truthfully, it was kind of a joke at first, but when I realized how most normal scoops are so disappointing – never releasing, getting an ugly scoop, or just chipping away small shavings – I also realized how it wasn’t really that silly of a search after all.
Unlike some reviews that’ll compare five different ones and then reveal their best, I’ll get quick to the point. Sure, there are a lot of great scoops out there, but there’s something just a little better about this one.
Zeroll Ice Cream Scoop
As I mentioned, there are a lot of options out there. Truth be told, sometimes the best option is the most original, simple one – in a re-imagined way. At first glance the Zeroll Ice Cream Scoop looks pretty basic, and it is. It’s nice to hold in the hand, has a heavy, substantial feel to it, and a beautiful aluminum finish.
What makes it special is what’s inside – a heat-conductive fluid that transfers heat from your hands to the end of the scoop, thereby warming it and helping it to release easier.
😮 – (I know, me too…)
This thing is brilliant. Most ice cream scoops kinda give up after a few scoops, as they become chilled and ice cream begins to stick to them making bad scoops, and also not cutting through as easily. Not with this. It sounds too good to be true, but nearly every time, it has produced a beautiful, shiny, full scoop of ice cream – and it goes back and does it again and again!
The only downside is that it’s not dishwasher safe. No problem though. Just rinse it under warm water, shake the water off, dry it, and put it back in the drawer. Simple as can be. Interested in getting one? I’ve got an Amazon link over to the side, and it’s Prime, too!
